Lisa Walmsley, PgDip Careers Guidance, QCG

My approach is to meet every individual with an open mind for uncovering their potential.

You’ll discover immediately that my strength is the ability to listen to personal stories and motivate my clients to move in a direction that feels right for them.

My practice is built on nearly 10 years of experience.  That’s a lot of clients – each one requiring my concentration on their individuality.

Achieved a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance, with Distinction. This is a taught Masters level course, with employment placements.  Our student group was extremely fortunate to have brilliant tutors whose words still ring in our ears.

“Practice without Theory is blind,” attributed to both Kant and Marx, particularly resonates with me. You may be surprised to learn that Careers Guidance draws on theory from many disciplines, including its own academic body of literature.

Careers Guidance lies at the intersection of Psychology and Sociology.

As a Registered Professional of the Career Development Institute I follow a Code of Ethics and undertake the required Continuing Professional Development each year.
